Dr.Shruti Jain – Consultant Psychologist, Trainer cum Business Developer Shruti’s recent association has been with Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) as Deputy Field Manager for a project entitled, Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP) funded by the federal Government of Canada. As part of her duties Dr. Jain was actively involved in business development and promotion of CIIP services with representatives from Human Resource and Skill Development Canada (HRSDC) and Citizenship and Immigration Canada, provincial governments, Employers and Stake holders like Canadian post-secondary institutions, Immigrant serving agencies and overseas participating institutions. She also participated in countrywide planning and tracking CIIP client services to ensure successful deployment.Dr. Jain’s Selected Achievements at ACCC – CIIP include:
Shruti comes with extensive experience in providing counseling services to clients of all age groups, especially to adolescents; identifying and managing behavioral, emotional, and psychosocial problems of students and providing treatment plans; organizing seminars and conducting workshops on adolescent development; actively participating in community service activities. She has worked as a counselor with an educational institute at New Delhi, for over nine years. Her contributions during her tenure as a counsellor were as follows: Designed and implemented a comprehensive, developmental and systematic school counseling program in alliance with the school’s mission to support academic achievement with holistic development of students.
Dr. Jain has also done an internship with the World Health Organization,
(WHO/SEARO, New Delhi, India). She developed a module to be used
by health care providers/counselors on counseling of adolescents for the
programme on Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) under the department
of Family and Community Health (FCH).
